Nepal Rastra Bank banned the use of Indian currency notes of more than 100 denomination. In a circular issued the bank prohibited Nepali travellers,banks,financial institutes from holding or carrying and trading in Indian bank notes of more than Rs 100/-. The himalayan nation has imposed restrictions on its citizens in carrying the higher denomination notes to and from countries other than India however lower denomination notes are allowed.
