Congress has released its election manifesto for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and has made big promises on jobs, NYAY scheme and farmers distress. Releasing the Congress manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha election, titled as ‘Hum Nibhayenge’, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi said there are no lies in the book of promises and it is an attempt to marry wealth and welfare.
“When we started this process about a year ago, I spoke to Mr. Chidamabaram and Mr. Gowda, I gave them two directions. I know that Congress has the expertise but I wanted it to reflect the voice of the people. I don’t want a single thing in the manifesto that is a lie because we hear the PM speaking lies every day,” he said.
Along with NYAY scheme for minimum income guarantee, a new development agenda for Jammu and Kashmir, leaner GST with only two slabs and no political interference in intelligence agencies are among the promises in the Congress manifesto for the upcoming elections.
