Who will be the Next CM of Andhra Pradesh? The next CM of Andhra Pradesh will be known in a days time with count down to election counting already begun.
With mixed exit poll predictions generating political heat in the state, a day ahead of counting of votes for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha polls, police on Wednesday stepped up security at the residences of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to prevent any untoward incident.
This was the first full-fledged Parliament elections in Andhra Pradesh as the 2014 polls were conducted in the undivided state.
Both the leaders are confident of coming to power in the state this time, YS Jagan will be overseeing the counting process from his residence in Tadepally block of Guntur district and Chandrababu Naidu would be at his private bungalow at Undavalli on the counting day.
As the counting day is nearing, tension is gripping about who would win Andhra Pradesh Elections. Jagan Mohan Reddy has completely disappeared from Public glare while Chandrababu Naidu is busy stitching an anti-BJP alliance while touring across the country. Exit Polls have only added to the confusion.
One of the reasons for winning this election is extremely crucial for TDP could be to project Lokesh for 2024 and ensure that the party leadership transfer happens seamlessly.
If the YSRCP wins, it will be the first time that Jagan becomes chief minister, a second loss this time might, however, result in a not-so-pleasant situation for the legacy leader. In 2009, Jagan’s father — YS Rajashekara Reddy — was the lynchpin of the Congress’s total control over Andhra Pradesh when he died in a freak helicopter.
In 2014, the YSRCP won 67 constituencies, while the ruling Telugu Desam party (TDP), which was in an alliance with the BJP, won 102 seats (BJP won 4). Among the 25 Lok Sabha seats, the TDP won 15 seats, BJP 2 and the YSRCP 8.
By tomorrow this time the election results will be out with trends comig out by mid day. Who will become the Andhra Pradesh next CM is a matter of few hours.
